Anderson Knight Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a highly skilled Systems Accountant on behalf of one of our key clients, a leading organisation within the distribution industry.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company where you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between finance and IT, ensuring that financial systems are optimised to support the business’s growing demands.
As a Systems Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing the company’s financial systems, ensuring they meet business needs and regulatory requirements. This role involves working closely with both the finance and IT teams to implement, maintain, and improve financial systems, ensuring the smooth operation of daily financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and development of the company’s financial systems.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the finance and IT departments for system-related issues and enhancements.
- Assist in the implementation of new finance systems, ensuring data integrity and system accuracy.
- Support system upgrades and developments, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues and ensure ongoing system maintenance.
- Design and develop reports to improve financial reporting and data analysis.
- Provide training and support to finance users, ensuring they can effectively use financial systems.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to optimise system functionality.
- Ensure financial systems comply with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Key Requirements:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or relevant experience in systems accounting.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and systems, with previous experience as a Systems Accountant or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Ability to translate complex financial requirements into practical system solutions.
- Experience in implementing and managing system upgrades and integrations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system improvement.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
