Anderson Knight is excited to be recruiting a driven and customer-focused Sales Parts Advisor for a leading Glasgow-based client.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being out on the road, building strong relationships, and playing a hands-on role in driving sales. If you’re passionate about delivering exceptional service, managing stock effectively, and making a real impact on business growth, this role offers the perfect mix of autonomy, variety, and career progression.
This is a field-based role covering Glasgow and the surrounding areas, with regular travel required. Working hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime to support business demands.
The Role
- Build and develop strong relationships with both new and existing customers, driving loyalty and repeat business.
- Respond quickly and effectively to customer enquiries, delivering tailored solutions that go above and beyond expectations.
- Actively grow sales by identifying customer needs and confidently recommending and upselling products.
- Seek out and convert new business opportunities, turning leads into long-term partnerships while consistently hitting targets.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts to customers and engineers.
- Take full ownership of stock control, keeping engineer vans and storage locations fully stocked, organised, and ready for action.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and inventory to support smooth operations.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience within plant, construction, or agricultural sectors, ideally in a parts sales or distribution role.
- Self-motivated, well-organised, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and flexible mindset, with a willingness to go the extra mile.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport and lasting customer relationships.
- Confident in identifying opportunities, upselling, and achieving sales targets.
- A natural problem-solver with excellent complaint-handling skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office with the ability to interpret sales and stock data.
