Anderson Knight is working with a leading Roofing and Cladding Contractor, operating throughout the UK and based in Glasgow. Our client carries out both New Build, and Refurbishment works in all major industrial and commercial sectors, engaging with blue chip main contractors, Architects, Surveyors and direct clients.

with project values ranging from £100,000.00 to £10 million.
They are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor (RICS Qualified) based in their Glasgow office with occasional travel to sites as required.
Job Specification
Reporting to the Commercial Manager/ Financial Director the Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:
• Managing projects allocated to you by the Commercial Manager
• Attending handover meetings
• Review of and compliance with Contract Conditions and liaison with Operational Team
• Preparation of budgets for job based tender figures
• Liaising with Procurement, Contracts & Subcontractors throughout the project
• Prepare, monitor and manage all budgets in line with the specification and conditions
• Prepare monthly valuations to achieve positive cashflow and ensure payments are made on time
• Manage change control procedures to ensure recovery of all additional works, including early identification and control
• Monitor payments to Supply Chain
• Preparing cost reports for discussion with the Project Team and presentation to Senior Management Team
• Sign off Invoices in accordance with agreed budgets
• Prepare and agree final accounts.
Knowledge skills & qualifications required:
• Ability to commercially control a project from initial tender through the entire life cycle
• RICS Accreditation and/or relevant degree is preferable
• Sound working knowledge of NEC and JCT contract forms
• Detailed knowledge of Excel & Word, Coins knowledge advantageous
• High attention to detail and commercial acumen
• Strong written & verbal communication
