Anderson Knight is recruiting a Legal Technical Specialist for an esteemed legal client. While previous experience in a similar role is not essential, a genuine passion for building a career in legal innovation and technology is crucial.
You should have a strong enthusiasm for optimising legal operations by analysing and improving processes, as well as leveraging technology in a strategic and impactful manner.
The role
- Manage and progress legal innovation initiatives, acting as a liaison between practice group contacts and the Smarter Working team on project portfolios.
- Assist with scoping, defining, managing, and testing projects through to completion.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on key legal tech tools, advising on use cases and staying updated on functionality updates.
- Contribute to the creation of user-friendly guides and training materials, and assist with the delivery of training.
- Review and track usage data and feedback for legal tech tools, supporting the piloting, roll-out, and change management processes.
- Support the firm’s process efficiency programme, including organising meetings, preparing documents, drafting process maps, and creating toolkits.
- Encourage a continuous improvement and innovation mindset among colleagues across the firm.
Skills & Experience
- A law graduate or paralegal with experience in a law firm.
- A keen interest in legal technology, AI, and emerging technologies, and their application in legal practice (previous direct experience not essential).
- A proactive, “can-do” attitude to problem-solving with an openness to new ideas and approaches.
- Strong desire to expand knowledge of legal practice and develop new technical skills.
- Meticulous, methodical, and detail-oriented in your approach to work.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with clear verbal and written communication abilities.
- Well-organised with strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities.
