Anderson Knight Recruitment are working with a Glasgow based client to seek a dedicated Employee Relations Officer to join their team. This is a full time permanent position, 37.5 hours per week, with some flexibility and hybrid working. In this position you will work as part of a wider team, providing an efficient service to colleagues across the business, supporting with employee relations queries and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
- Handle disciplinary procedures, grievances, and conflict resolution, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and prepare detailed reports and recommendations.
- Advise on employment law and best practices, ensuring the company remains compliant with all relevant legislation.
- Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training programs on employee relations topics.
- Support organisational change initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an employee relations role or similar HR function.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.
- High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
