Anderson Knight Recruitment is delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established business based in the south of Glasgow, in their search for an experienced HR Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HR generalist to join a supportive business where you’ll play a key role in delivering effective people operations and ensuring a positive employee experience.
As HR Officer, you will provide hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle, working closely with managers and employees to deliver high-quality HR services. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a varied position, is comfortable advising on HR matters, and enjoys building strong working relationships across the organisation.
This is a permanent role offering hybrid working following a successful probation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting onboarding, induction, probation, contractual changes and offboarding processes.
- Providing first-line advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Assisting with employee relations matters including absence, performance, and disciplinary cases.
- Maintaining accurate HR data and ensuring timely updates to HR systems.
- Preparing HR reports to support business decisions.
- Supporting recruitment activities, including advertising roles, shortlisting, and issuing offer paperwork.
- Coordinating training and development activities and maintaining L&D records.
- Preparing monthly payroll changes and assisting with benefits administration.
- Contributing to continuous improvement across HR processes and policies.
About You
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of HR processes and current employment legislation.
- Excellent organisation skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across the business.
- Proficient with HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proactive, solution-focused, and comfortable managing a varied workload.
