Anderson Knight is recruiting an experienced HR Consultant to join our client’s team in Liverpool on a full-time, fixed-term contract (FTC) until June 2025. This role focuses on delivering strategic HR support and guidance, ensuring alignment with business objectives, company values, and current employment law. You will play a key role in managing employee relations, supporting diversity & inclusion initiatives, driving performance, and ensuring legal compliance across HR practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert HR consultancy and advice on employee relations matters, including conduct, performance, grievances, sickness absence, and discrimination.
  • Support and coach line managers on HR best practices and ensure consistent application of company policies.
  • Lead diversity & inclusion projects, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Assist in performance management processes, policy development, and implementation.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on HR issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, including robust grievance and disciplinary procedures.
  • Advocate for diversity & inclusion by ensuring consistent policy execution across the business.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Comprehensive understanding of UK employment law and its practical application in HR.
  • Strong problem-solving and advisory skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of how HR impacts organisational culture and performance.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HR consultant or in a similar HR advisory role, with expertise in UK employment law.
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent) preferred, with a track record of staying up to date on legislative changes.
  • Qualifications in employment law, mediation, or conflict resolution are desirable.
