Anderson Knight Recruitment is delighted to be working exclusively with a well-established business on the outskirts of Edinburgh to recruit a confident and proactive HR Adviser. This is a true generalist role, supporting site-based HR operations in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
The position will involve travel within Scotland, partnering with managers and employees across multiple locations, so a full driving licence is essential. While you will operate as the primary HR contact on site, you will also be part of a wider HR function, giving you access to ongoing support, collaboration, and professional guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical, expert HR advice to managers on a broad range of employee relations matters
- Manage end-to-end HR casework including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance issues
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning activities
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies and compliance with current employment legislation
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that support business growth and improvement
- Maintain accurate HR records and produce reports as required
- Build strong, credible relationships with stakeholders across multiple sites
About You
- Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role, ideally with exposure to standalone working
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Confident managing a varied and often high-volume ER caseload independently
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
- Flexible and willing to travel across Scotland as required
- CIPD qualified or currently working towards qualification (desirable)
