Anderson Knight has an excellent new opportunity retained with our client for a NEBOSH Qualified Group Health & Safety Manager with full responsibility for overseeing and supporting their Health and Safety performance across all business sectors within the Group, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation, assessing and adopting best practices and developing strategies

Our client is a leading multi-site manufacturing business who pride themselves on quality, standards and ethics as well as state of the art manufacturing processes covering sites across Scotland.

Key Duties

The key duties of this Health and Safety Manager role include:

• Monitor the organisation’s Health and Safety performance against internal and external targets and manage current standards under a wide range of laws and regulations.

• Develop, maintain, and deliver Health & Safety compliance activities across the business.

• Develop and maintain the company’s Health and Safety management system, ensuring it aligns with ISO 45001.

• Take a lead role in coordinating internal and external audits by developing and monitoring the company’s Health & Safety audit schedule.

• Undertake audits covering all Operational Areas, processes, and procedures. Produce audit reports that provide clear and concise information on audit findings, non-conformities, risks, and priorities.

• Participate in developing operational and support staff by delivering workshops and briefings to staff at various levels.

• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies and regulatory bodies.

• Work with the wider team to implement strategies to ensure Health & Safety compliance.

About you

NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent

• Auditor qualification

• Experience working with around an ISO accredited management system

• Driving licence as travel to multi-site will be a part if this position.
