Financial Controller
Anderson Knight are seeking a Financial Controller to join our client, a leading, manufacturing group. This pivotal role is responsible for maintaining strong financial control, ensuring compliance across group entities, and delivering accurate, insightful financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.
You’ll work closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team to help shape the future of the business. This is a visible and influential position, with the opportunity to lead and develop a small finance team while building strong relationships across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance, and VAT returns
- Lead the annual audit process across all group entities
- Ensure robust financial governance and ethical standards
- Lead, mentor and develop a small, high-performing finance team
- Support investment decisions with pre- and post-appraisal analysis
- Deliver regular and ad-hoc financial forecasts and scenario modelling
- Drive efficiency through insightful reporting and process improvement
- Produce monthly management accounts and board reporting packs
- Lead the annual budgeting process and twice-yearly forecasting cycles
- Monitor and report weekly cash flow and ensure strong liquidity
- Maintain strong working relationships with auditors and banking partners
- Provide financial insight to board and senior management meetings
About You
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CA/CIMA)
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, change-oriented environment
- Ability to challenge and implement positive change
