Anderson Knight is delighted to be supporting a leading financial services organisation in the recruitment of a Collections Agent.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building customer relationships, and working in a supportive team environment. You’ll play a key role in helping customers who have fallen behind on payments, guiding them towards fair and sustainable solutions.
Location: Glasgow – Hybrid (after training & probation)
Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 DOE
What you’ll be doing:
• Managing customer accounts in arrears with empathy, professionalism, and in line with company and regulatory standards.
• Handling inbound and outbound calls, maintaining accurate records and delivering a positive customer experience.
• Conducting income and expenditure assessments to agree suitable repayment plans.
• Negotiating effectively while always focusing on fair and positive customer outcomes.
• Meeting performance targets and addressing challenges proactively.
What we’re looking for:
• Previous collections or similar experience is desirable, but not essential.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle sensitive conversations.
• A clear understanding of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
• Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• A positive, open, and solutions-focused attitude.
Working hours:
• Monday to Friday (rotational shifts):
o 8am–4pm for 3 weeks
o 12pm–8pm for 1 week
• Weekend cover: 1 in every 4 weekends (Saturday or Sunday, 9am–5pm or 10am–6pm) – with a day off in lieu.
• Hybrid working: Following training and successful probation, typically 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.
