Our client, a pioneering renewable’s company, are recruiting a Buyer to join their team on a full time permanent basis. They are a dynamic and innovative team committed to advancing renewable energy technologies and delivering exceptional results for their clients and stakeholders. Due to continued growth their Glasgow office is recruiting an experienced Buyer to become part of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials, equipment, and services required for renewable energy projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to support project timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to understand procurement needs and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost analysis, and supplier performance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of supply chain management and logistics.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) certification is a plus.
