Anderson Knight are recruiting a Bid Writer for a manufacturing company in South Lanarkshire. This role will be fully onsite.
What the role involves
- Prepare high-quality, tailored bids and proposals for client enquiries and tenders.
- Ensure submissions meet client requirements and deadlines.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather accurate bid information.
- Produce clear, persuasive content showcasing the company’s strengths and experience.
- Review and refine all submissions for consistency and quality.
- Manage the full bid process from preparation to submission and follow-up.
- Support the upkeep of the company’s quality management system and documentation.
- Assist with internal audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Work across departments to maintain accurate quality assurance records.
- Monitor project performance to ensure contractual and quality requirements are met.
- Identify opportunities for quality improvements and support implementation.
- Maintain organised records of all bid and quality documentation.
Additional Administrative Support
- Assist with prequalification documents and other related administrative tasks.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Manage the organisation and archiving of bid and quality records.
Key Requirements
- Experience in bid writing or proposal development, ideally within construction, civil engineering, or plant hire.
- Strong understanding of the bid/tender process and creating competitive submissions.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and relevant industry standards.
- Excellent written communication and strong attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and bid management tools.
- Familiarity with construction quality and safety standards (e.g., ISO 9001) is an advantage.
