Anderson Knight is proud to be exclusively partnering with a growing and dynamic business based in Hillington as they seek to appoint a Assistant Accountant to join their expanding finance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional looking to develop their experience in a varied and evolving role. The business offers a hybrid working model (2 days in the office, 3 from home) and a competitive salary of £30,000.
The Role:
Supporting the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering day-to-day transactional finance and assisting in the preparation of group financial reporting across a portfolio of group laboratories. This is a hands-on position with a clear path for progression as the business and finance function continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Allocation of bank receipts and payments
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Monitoring aged debt and assisting with credit control
- Processing monthly payment runs
- Control account reconciliations
- Preparation of monthly accounts packs
- Producing ad hoc financial reports for management
- Supporting both the Finance Manager and Financial Controller as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with both purchase and sales ledger is essential
- Experience with preparation of management accounts
- Comfortable working in a high-volume transactional environment
- Experience using Sage 50 and Xero is highly advantageous
- Strong Excel skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach
- Enthusiastic, flexible, and eager to contribute to process improvements
